  Why India Is Struggling to become a Global Semiconductor Hub?         In India, A Semiconductor hub is an expensive task to setting up. It requires an investment of around 40,000 to 80,000 rupees crore. Even though the Indian government has started the Semicon India Scheme worth  76000 crore and resent investment from Micron, Tata, and foxconn.But private companies are still not very confident about investing . There are mainly two reasons for this.First is- There is a lot of risk involved and Second is - It takes many years to get profits from this kind of projects.
